Salvador Dalí

Surrealism Art

According to the free dictionary (Farlex) the surrealism art can be define like a 20th-century literary and artistic movement that attempts to express the workings of the subconscious and is characterized by fantastic imagery and incongruous juxtaposition of subject matter.

There a lot of styles in the art’s world, but my favorite is the Surrealism with the painter Salvador Dalí, the most incredible painter in the world for me, because his paints reflect a different world in which everything can pass.

Some fun facts that I can say about Dalí are:

  • His painterly skills are often attributed to the influence of Renaissance masters
  • His best-known work, The Persistence of Memory, was completed in August 1931.

  • Dalí was highly imaginative, and also enjoyed indulging in unusual and grandiose behavior.
  • His real name was Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí.
  • Dalí had a sister, who was three years younger and her name was Ana María.
  • Dalí was 16 years old; he later said his mother's death "was the greatest blow I had experienced in my life. I worshipped her... I could not resign myself to the loss of a being on which I counted to make invisible the unavoidable blemishes of my soul." (Dalí, 1921)
  •  In 1942, he published his autobiography, The Secret Life of Salvador Dalí.

Water

Facts/tips about how to use water wisely

Next time you add or replace a flower or shrub, choose a low water use plant for year-round landscape color and save up to 550 gallons each year.
We’re more likely to notice leaks indoors, but don’t forget to check outdoor faucets, sprinklers, and hoses for leaks.
Listen for dripping faucets and toilets that flush themselves. Fixing a leak can save 500 gallons each month.
Use a broom instead of a house to clean your driveway and sidewalk and save up to 80 gallons of water every time.
Put food coloring in your toilet tank. If it seeps into the toilet bowl, you have a leak. It’s easy to fix, and you can save more than 600 gallons a month.
Collect the water you use for rinsing produce and reuse it to water houseplants.
Reach for the scoop only when you have a full load and save up to 600 gallons each month.
Drop that tissue in the trash instead of flushing it and save gallons every time.

Words for describe people  ----- impulsive, sensitive, careful, nervous, etc.
Words for countable and uncountable nouns ---- A few, a lot of, some, a little, every, each, etc.

Something that I need to strengthen is:

Word formations because is so easy for me get confuse with some words that are similar, but the meaning depends on sentences.

For example

Remarkable --- Remark
Clarify --- Clarification
Sensitive --- Sensible

Other topic that I need to check is PREPOSITIONS
